Prototype your FairShares Commons company. Level 2

by grahamboyd-evolutesix Free | p2p

You've completed level 1: Designing your FairShares Commons company, have your FairShares Commons canvas sufficiently complete to begin building a prototype.

In this workshop you will dive deeper into, amongst others,

  • optimising your design by closing any gaps in your FairShares Commons canvas, i.e., your multi-capitals multi-stakeholder business concept

  • identifying whether a level 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 incorporation is right for you

  • building a first prototype articles of incorporation of a multi-stakeholder, multi-capital company

  • diving deeper into the financials and voting rights of each stakeholder category

  • diving deeper into the stewardship principles right for your endeavour.

You will work through your canvas towards a draft legal document. Once completed this may be sufficient for incorporating directly (e.g. in England and Wales), or may be ready to serve as part of the design brief, along with your completed canvas, for a local lawyer.

Completion of your FSC prototype will depend on your readiness to incorporate, and especially your putting in the required effort to flesh out and test your hypotheses with key stakeholder representatives. You are welcome to attend the workshops repeatedly to (re)develop the business plan as you learn, and potentially realise the need to pivot, across all stakeholders. Before finally beginning work with a lawyer, or after you have incorporated, comes our Level 3 programme, optimising your FairShares Commons company.

And, of course, this is only one axis; consider also attending our programmes on the operational axis and the human axis, to get the most out of your FairShares Commons company.

Each cohort is restricted to a maximum of 5 startup teams.
